Description

“Eyes for your ears,” providing a spectral perspective on your sound system’s behavior in a live acoustic environment through graphical data representations.

Main Features of System-eye:

• Dual-Channel FFT Sound System Analyzer: Tailored for live audio engineers, capable of real-time measurement of sound system frequency response. A tool for sound system EQ and optimization.

• Frequency Response Measurement: Offers real-time assessment of the system under test by displaying live magnitude and phase over frequency through adjustable plots.

• Coherence Measurement: Provides validation for Frequency Response measurements.

• Impulse Response Graph: Displays time representation of system response. Provides a better temporal evaluation of the overall response and serves as a reference for Auto Delay feature.

• Averaging and Smoothing Capabilities: Enables users to quickly grasp their sound system by highlighting either the overall trend or the finer details that contribute to the response, both in time and frequency.

• Audio Input Connection: Requires an external audio interface with dedicated inputs for measurement microphone and output for a reference signal. It can use Y-split or internal programmable split inside the audio interface.

• Auto Delay Function: Automatically detects the delay between the microphone and the reference signal, essential for accurate measurements. The Auto Delay feature, however, does not impede usability and can be turned off, allowing users to manually adjust the delay as needed.

• Signal Generator: Generates pink noise as a stimulus for measurement, with adjustable gain, on/off status, and destination.

• Trace Management: Captures and stores measurement traces for future reference, with options to evaluate, rename, color, and delete.

• Keyboard Shortcuts: Quick access for starting/stopping analysis, toggling live trace view, and showing/hiding various plots (Impulse Response, Phase, Coherence).

• User-Friendly Design: Simple and lightweight, catering to the core needs of experienced engineers.

What’s New

Version 1.7

The main objectives of this release are fixes and improvements:

- Fixed: plots didn't redraw properly on resize, resulting in a flicker.
- Fixed: plots failing to draw normally when paused
- Fixed input level indicator appearance when 1-channel input is used (1-channel source isn't what we need, but we should keep things beautiful nevertheless)
- Fixed: missing HF data on phase plot at low smoothing values
- Fixed: On capture, the trace name text field wasn't focused for the name edit (use Return key)
- Audio device channel names are displayed along the numbers in Audio i/o settings
- New Auto Delay stabilization is employed to prevent random delay jumps when no valuable data is available
- The impulse response right-click menu was updated, with options to manually set the delay to the value on the graph or reset it to zero. Also, you can now zoom out the plot vertically.

Giddycat ,

Been looking for a straightforward Dual FFT for ever!

This one is exactly the stripped down version of what I need to phase align loudspeakers, without the crazy expense of Smaart or the others.... and am very grateful it exists. Thank you!
