Description

RECREATE WITH US!

North Cowichan is home to a rich mix of flow, downhill, gravel and cross country trails for mountain biking mixed in with a myriad of hiking trails taking you to amazing vistas and vantage points among our Forest Reserves.

Our key hiking and mountain biking destinations include Maple Mountain (first area featured in this app), Mount Tzouhalem (recently added) and Mount Prevost. Combine this with additional hiking and equestrian opportunities possible on Mount Richards and we have opportunities close to all residents.

The first map published in the app is for the Maple Mountain trail network. Located between Maple Bay and Crofton, Maple Mountain is a rich mountain for hiking, trail running, mountain biking, and equestrian. This area features great sanctioned trails and awesome vistas of the area. Some app features include: trail descriptions, elevation profiles, dynamic scale, compass tool, and location icon (GPS).

What’s New

Version 2.0

-Updated interface to accommodate newer iPhones.

-Added Phloem and the new aMTB Loop to the Maple Mountain trail network.

MNC Trails

This app simply does not function. It tells us what various chart symbols do or mean but no charts are shown, nothing.

Pointless and a waste of time.

Developer Response ,

Ouch! If you're willing to try again, think of the welcome screen as one large button; tapping anywhere will launch the map (or chart, if you will).

Very limited

Should be called “Maple Mountain Trail App”, has nothing to do with any other trails in Cowichan

Developer Response ,

Hi there! We updated the app to include Mount Tzouhalem several months ago. Would you please consider trying the app again and possibly updating your review? Thanks!

Needs work

The app is useless unless you only ride maple mountain. Need to add or make it more clear how to switch to Tzouhalem and Prevost.

Developer Response ,

Thanks for the review! Mount Tzouhalem had been added to the app early in 2020; hopefully, you'll find it to be more useful. If so, it would be greatly appreciated if you'd consider updating your review. Thanks again!
