Hello, runecats.com is the default text which shows which you launch the app (which is our website). Once you add your own data you must press the enter key otherwise it won't update the QR code which is likely what happened to you! We've got an update planned shortly in 2.1 to enable live updating of the QR as you type. Keep posted! Let me know if that helps!

This is a basic QR code generator that works simply and intuitively.
Yes, it loads the runecats.com QR when you first open it, but once you enter your URL (or whatever text you need) it creates a new code. You can then change the color if you like and export in a number of useful formats (tiff, eps, etc.)
It does appear that this is considered "legacy" software by Runecats so I'm not sure if there is any support for future Mac OS compatability. Perhaps that is why it's so inexpensive?

Thanks for your 5 star review, QR Generator is not considered legacy by us and is something we are continuing to develop as well as ensuring future compatibility. QR Generator already supports the latest version of macOS and is updated to support silicon macs natively.
Works as expected
The other two people don't know how to use the app. Type data (whatever text you want), hit enter, then copy. You'll actually see the QR code change after you hit enter.
Then aim your iPhone's camera, and it'll automatically ask you if you want to go to the website, or whatever.
