Description

Text Case is a text transformation utility, that can be as powerful as you make it, and accessible throughout iOS.

### Flows ###

These are customisable combinations of formats, that can be put together to create more complex and personal text transformations.

## Tons of Formats ##

There's over 60 text formats to choose from in the app, from simple ones such as Base64 encoding, to fun ones such as Mocking SpongeBob or Clap Case, various Markdown formats, and even some more complex formats which allow customisation such as replacing all occurrences of a string, or adding a prefix/suffix.

## Share Extension ##

It comes packed with an action extension that lets you select text anywhere in iOS, tap the Share button, and then you’ll find the “Convert Text” action. This will show you a preview of all available formats, and a simple tap on one of those will copy it to your clipboard, and you’ll be returned to the original app.

You can customise the extension to show just the flows you've created, the standard formats, or both.

## Siri Shortcuts Support ##

You can access all flows and formats inside the Shortcuts app, which come along with dedicated actions for the more complex actions such as Replace, Remove, and Add Prefix/Suffix.

Thank you!

This app fills a need created by the Shortcuts app bug converting text to sentence case. I’ve seen mention of it as far back as 2018, so clearly no effort is being made by Apple to address it. But now, being able to call a Text Case-generated Siri shortcut from within my own handles it beautifully. I’ve spent so much pointless time trying to concoct a workaround and now my mind is at ease. Thank you.

Very Useful Utility, Just Needs A Little Work

This is the type of thing I’d use daily with a little adjustment. The biggest issue is that Capitalize doesn’t recognize multiple sentences, so only the first word of a paragraph is capitalized with other sentences transformed to lowercase.

I think the results could also be better ordered with more commonly used items first. For instance: Capitalize, Title Case, Uppercase, Lowercase, URL Encoded, Reversed, Mocking Spongebob (whatever that one means?!).

There’s also an additional case I’d love to see solved for that I run into frequently: turning copied text into a quote. So, wrapping pasted text in double quotation marks and any internal quotes in single quote marks (American English, I believe British English might be the reverse.) This is useful when grabbing text from an article to quote on social media.

Another goofy/fun idea would be to turn any words of a sentence into emojis if there is an exact match. Like “The rooster and the pig drove a car.” into “The 🐓 and the 🐖 drove a 🚗”. Almost like a rebus.

Anyway, great start, looking forward to seeing it grow!

Just one more thing

I give this 5 stars because it’s so incredibly handy, but I do wish it supported regex.
