Ratings and Reviews
Clean. Works Great.
I’ve never tried these apps before but checked out of curiosity to see what my rating was. You have to answer a few questions to get your file but not nearly as many as I feared. The UI is straightforward and helpful.
Nicest feature is the single report view of all your credit arrangements in one place. Mortgage, cards, loans etc. Everything was there and accurate. I don’t have any other way to do that other than a spreadsheet I manage myself so very happy with this.

Thanks for your feedback, it's great to hear that you've chosen Credit Monitor to check your credit file!
Ridiculous identity check
I have no idea if this app is any good because I failed the identity check. The question was which of these credit cards did you take out in 1992?! Well that is a mere 26 years ago and I did have three of the suggestions about that time. I thought it checked your credit, not your memory.
An update 24 hours after installation. I now have an email saying they cannot build my credit report as they do not have enough information. They suggest this may because I am not on the electoral register, recently moved house, recently changed name or have not built up a credit history. Well I have been on the electoral register at my current address for 30 years, I have had the same name for near 65 years, I have a mortgage, 4 credit cards that have all had transactions in the last couple of months, I have had several car loans, the last taken out 3 years ago and a mobile phone contract taken out 3 weeks ago. I should have been pretty easy to find. There is only one conclusion about the effectiveness of this app...

Thanks for your feedback. We're really sorry to hear that you've not been able to view your credit file using Credit Monitor. If it is showing that you have a 'thin' Credit File this just means that your credit history is too limited for TransUnion (formerly Callcredit) to gather a report on you or that not all information has been shared with TransUnion. Lenders do not always share your information with all Credit Reference Agencies, some may only share details with one or two of them.
Had this app briefly and then discovered it simply checked with a provider I had a paid subscription with to parrot back info I was paying fir to me as a search each month. Their prognosis varied from the established provider and appeared to be a way to spread unease and then target you for products that were unsuitable. I actually have no issues with my ratings, but they suggested I could do better and started sending me suggestions fir credit builder cards for which I have no need. At the very least this was insulting to a lot of things including my intelligence.
They rated my 18 year old son with a part time job who lives at home and is a student in the top 2%.. insane and dangerous.
Following the emails about credit builder cards I have now unsubscribed completely from MS. Real eye opener into a site I once had way more faith in.
