I use this app daily to get to work and university. Just select your destination and when you want to arrive/leave and it shows you numerous bus times and routes. You can search by route number if you want to see the stops and times for that service, so I'm not sure what other reviews are referring to when they say you can't see the timetable anymore?
I've only been recommended bus routes, even when standing next to a train station, so that's been great as well (I have a student bus pass as it's cheaper than a monthly train pass so I always travel by bus even if it means a longer journey than the train). I love the little feature where you can save your destinations with an icon and your favourite stops. This app is so much more useful now !
Why have live times if they’re wrong?
So normally this app is fantastic. I could rely on it to plan my time and make sure I don’t miss the bus; until this evening...
I prefer using the live trackers (that show up in green) as they’re more accurate than the general timetable. Today I was walking to a stop, where the live tracker on the app claimed my bus would be due in two minutes. It was a stop they do sometimes wait longer at to stick to the timetable so I assumed it might already be there. However what I didn’t assume is that it would turn out of the bus stop and away as I was walking towards it!!
I checked the timetable again and surely enough, for that stop it still claimed the bus should have been there another two minutes before setting off. If it had said “due” I would have made more effort to get there in time, but it didn’t and so I missed it. The bus left before the time state on the live tracker. I feel like this is more down to app error than driver error; if they are waiting at stops and about to leave surely they are “due”, not still two minutes away from leaving? Massive letdown of a usually very reliable app.
So so so slow, literally waiting 10 seconds to load a new screen, will tell me I have no internet connection even though I can go on to stream a HD video no problem. Doesn’t use my location properly tells me a near station is Leeds, I’m in South Wales, again I can go to Maps and it finds my location perfectly every time. I’m in a good 4G area what’s the problem? I go to buy my monthly pass and after about 5 minutes just trying to put it into the basket I put in my CV2 and it completes but doesn’t add it to my purchased tickets so I have to go through the ordeal again, only to have to pay for a physical ticket as the 15minutes I had planned to buy my ticket before my bus apparently wasn’t enough. A notification reminder would be great to say your pass expires in the next day or something cos apparently you need to set aside hours of time and patience for this. I have a brand new iPhone X but same issues on my previous iPhone 6S. Also where’s the iPhone X update? I can’t believe this has so many positive reviews.
