Hard to Rate: Excellent Content, but Price Seems High

I recently found this app and have been using it (successfully) to help my son fall asleep. He has regular nightmares and going to bed can be a challenge. Well, he loves this app. I think the meditations are very well done, clever, and perfect for kids. The other night, my son’s last words before falling asleep were “I like this app.”

All that being said, the $10 per month fee or $60 for a year seems very steep to me. I think it unlocks something like 25 additional meditations, which I just can’t justify. I would easily pay a dollar per meditation to own them. “Leasing” them for $60 a year I can’t do.

So, it is an easy 5 stars for content and my 4 star rating is to encourage other parents to try it. The price holds me back from giving the full 5 stars it deserves.

Excellent but one improvement please

This is a really great app with excellent concepts and videos. Please add an option for closed captions or subtitles so that kids who are primarily visual learners have an easier time following along. A child with an auditory processing disorder, for example, will be unable to process all of the verbal input without visual support. And a child who is deaf or who has reduced hearing cannot benefit at all from the videos’ spoken content.

Thanks for making this app accessible to all.

Price is outrageous!

I love what this app does. My kids use it every night and have been falling asleep much more quickly and sleeping better. We have used it for calming down and gaining focus while doing homework. It is incredibly helpful. But the price for the full app is ridiculous. I would love to purchase it but $120 or even $50 each year is insane.

I’m especially discouraged because I feel like this app could be great for at risk kids learning how to deal with stress or kids that need help with coping mechanisms and the cost is SO prohibitive.
I would pay $10 one time to purchase it. I would tell everyone about it. I would encourage my husband to use the adult app for his anxiety and sleep problem. But not at this price. They would likely have many more purchasers if they brought the cost down as well.

Developer Response ,

Thank you for your feedback regarding the price of our subscription. We'll make sure to pass it on to our team. Please keep in mind that you'll receive a discount on the Kids app if you purchase it as part of a bundle with the all ages app. I hope that helps!
