Ratings and Reviews
Computer Advantage
I enjoy the Ad free component of this game, but I have to agree with another reviewer that the computer dice rolls are much better than rolls for me. If I leave an open man, the computer seems to roll one number that can hit me 75% of the time while I only seem to be able to do that to the computer maybe 25%. Playing the back game is usually advantageous but when the computer is bearing off, seldom are any men open. The dice rolls seem to allow men to be covered and if open, no dice roll will hit it.
6,6; 6,6; 4,3; 4,4; 2,2
...in AI’s final 5 rolls. Typical way the AI ends their games for the “win”. You will get one meaningless dbl, several very low rolls and several single bear-offs while that happens. Not to mention that that “win” started with AI having 2 checkers on the bar which got back in in 1 roll despite there being 2 open spots (avg time on the bar for AI is fewer than 3 rolls, yours will be 4-5). All the other allegations of perfect rolls going for AI and against player many more times than not are accurate. Too bad it’s so badly rigged; the interface is good. I have played bg for over 40 years and have played ~500 games on this app so this is not mere opinion. I have deleted this app.
Computer plays well but dice is not fair
If you read other critical reviews the developer swears there is no cheating and the dice are rolled once. But it’s not probable game after game that the computer rolls perfect dice at critical moments when we know there is less than 1/6 chance. For example computer mostly wins the first roll. This is even before moving thefirst piece. That says it’s either cheating or has a software bug. If you are searching with recursion you might be rolling multiple times and picking the best one
