I’m just starting

I’m just browsing currently. So far there have been a couple of bug issues: There was an issue making my account that I worked out and the app has already crashed on me. It would be nice if I could read reviews of the companies from people who have worked there already. The employers can review us and read our reviews. I think it’s only fair that we be able to review and read reviews of the employers as well and see how others enjoy working for them. It goes both ways with Uber. Why not this?

Update: the FAQ says there is a rating system for us to rate employers but I’m not seeing any ratings or reviews when I’m searching for a shift.

Thank you for the feedback, and for trying out the app! I'm sorry for the issues creating your account, and for the crash. In the last few days we've released a couple new versions of the app that should fix those issues, but if you experience any other bugs please let us know (a quick note at works) and we'll get them cleaned up ASAP. Also, that's excellent feedback on the reviews. I'm one of the app developers, so I'll make sure I get the team working on adding the ability to view reviews that users have submitted for employers. That functionality was always intended to be there, but I think it just got accidentally missed when we rebuilt the app. Thank you again for the feedback!

Great concept, not well thought out

I’m currently suspended, should lift as of today(1/3/21). I got a low score and to many withdrawals. And that’s where my issues lie. The company doesn’t get notifications that I’m withdrawing. I even texted the number to the supervisor the night I had to withdraw late. No response. I’m assuming that if you’re using this app, you have a full time job and like the money for fun or to give yourself a little walking around cash. I got a low score due to leaving after 6 hours because of a Emercancy and I was “on my phone to much”. A night shift making signs with a skeleton crew and the amount of signs I banded will say otherwise but whatever. Poor company anyways. So not that I care about the low score, but there isn’t any place where you can dispute anything. Which can cause you do be suspended for something that most people and companies don’t care about who pay less then 10 bucks an hour. ( I probably sound entitled but whatever. I’m being honest in my review. Which is why you’re reading this) if you can find a job where you’re at. They are going to be companies with high turn over rates. For whatever that may be.
Bacon really needs to go back to the drawing board and fix not only company policies, but fix all the broken bugs and glitches within the app. So I’m giving them a 1 star. Because they haven’t fixed anything from the past reviews I’ve seen. Like the job experience. Can’t scroll.

Developer Response ,

Thank you for taking the time to write out such a thorough review, and for your honesty! It's wonderful feedback. If you would like to dispute your rating or strikes, please send us a quick note at We do find that workers are occasionally given unfair ratings, and we're happy to remove them if that's the case.

Regarding the strikes received for withdrawing, those are applied automatically if you withdraw within 24 hours of the shift starting regardless of whether you have alerted the company. We maintain that policy out of respect for the companies posting shifts; they need someone to show up, so the 24 hours allows enough time for someone else to apply. Emergencies do happen, though, so if you're in that situation please reach out to support and we can remove the strike.

If you have an emergency come up during a shift and you need to leave early, please let your shift manager know so that they can approve it and avoid the poor rating. Unfortunately, some companies are occasionally unfair in their ratings of workers. Companies have no incentive to rate workers poorly, so we haven't found it to be a common issue, but it still does happen. If you believe that's the case, we're eager to investigate it; we don't want companies being unfair to workers.

Finally, regarding the work experience scrolling issue, I'm very sorry about that. The 2.6.0 release introduced a number of major changes (mostly behind-the-scenes) and that bug slipped through. We discovered and fixed it quickly in 2.6.1, but Apple shuts down App Store submission approvals during the holidays, so it didn't get approved and go live until yesterday. If you notice any other bugs, please let us know and we'll get them fixed as soon as possible. We usually try to get a release out every 1-2 weeks, but will absolutely rush a patch out sooner if there's a serious issue.

Thank you again for your review, and for sharing your experience so honestly!

This whole app is complete hell to deal with. The so called “bacon contacts” (or the people who developed the app and help make it run) are very unreliable and take forever to answer if you have a question or problem. After you complete a job, your account balance gets added to a payment info screen, it says “you’ll receive payments daily” and every time I’ve worked a shift, it’s sat there for at least 4 days and then finally transferred to stipe which takes another 3 days.

One company that posts jobs on this app, is a place where a supervisor is very unlikely to be on time. They’ve been 3.5 hours late before, and even though we still did the work and completed the assignment, I was still rated with 1 or 2 stars from the company. Which ultimately blocked my bacon account from applying to any other jobs for “3 days”. But it’s been over 3 days now and it’s not unlocked, nobody from bacon is answering me.

SAVE YOUR TIME. Invest in yourself, apply for a real job that looks good on a resume, apply for somewhere that you feel like you can be productive at and make an impact. BACON OR ITS CUSTOMERS ARE NOT THAT PLACE
