Funexpected Math for Kids 4+

Tried a lot of apps. This one is superior because it’s based all on games and great visuals, sweet storytelling etc. My 4 year old loves it. We do it together and I would recommend this. Only focused on math what I like and think is most important. For a broader curriculum I recommend khan academy kids. Customer support is responsive.

Credentials do not store in Apple keychain making it extremely difficult to set this app up on multiple devices. Creating an account with Apple makes it near impossible to use this account on another device cause you can’t know the email credentials. Creating an account with email prevents password suggestions, won’t permit you to paste a password, and won’t let you change a password once created! If you fail to remember the password your email account is permanently prevented from creating a mew account or changing said password as you can’t login via their website. Installing on a child’s device via magic link doesn’t work cause it’s likely sent to YOUR email account which is not on the child’s device. You then have to copy the link from your email, text it or email it to your child, disable safari restrictions, allow safari website accessibility, then click the link. I literally spent 30 minutes trying to get it to work on my kids device while simultaneously locking myself out of my account cause I don’t remember the password I created. This is a terrible user experience!!!!

Please, note that you definitely can change the password for your account at any time. If you enter a wrong password you will see the link to the Forgot your password section and will be able to change it. If you are using the sign in with Apple option, then it is definitely more convenient in case you have the same Apple id on another device. We love the app - solid math concepts and foundations in calm and creative settings are stretching kiddo’s brain all the time! And he loves it!

I gave a lower rating because he loves certain games so much he’s excelling in them to the exclusion of others where there’s room to grow (common with kids on the autism spectrum).
Is there a way to turn off or limit selected activities to encourage variety?

Also it seems like the progress report only updates based on the asteroid tasks, not other game play. Kiddo always skips those (unless adult enforced, defeating fun aspect) so little progress is shown, despite mastery of several activities around the globe. Any plans to shift this setup?

We love the holiday tasks - that format is very effective in leading kiddo to go beyond his comfort zone puzzles. <3

The progress reports include all the solved tasks (except for in-app events). There is a special section that is called Course progress. Please, check it out.
Unfortunately, there is no way to limit some of the activities currently. Still, every time the child opens the app, the app guides them to a new learning experience (missions, asteroids, in-app events, etc). Also, we are adding new holiday events to the app constantly.
