What’s New

Version 1.2.4

Hi, friends!

An important part of our relationship is being able to let you know when I spot important things in your finances.

For my friends who didn't give me permission to send you notifications, there's now a way for you to turn notifications on from the settings drawer.
1) Head over to the app
2) Click the gear icon in the top right. If you don't have notifications enabled, you'll see a button "Turn on Notifications".
3) Give it a click so we can better work on money together!

Well, I'm off to look for deals in these tough times. See you later!

It shows that this was a chatbot first

What I really don’t like is I’ll get a batch of about 2-5 notifications at a time (the same time) at least one generically reading “Charlie sent you a message”. I open the app and it’s pre-scrolled to the end of the messages, and unless I remember where or what the last one was (because sometimes it’ll spout out a huge batch before I check) it just looks like random bouts of text. There aren’t time and dates attached that have become standard with chatlogs. Nearly everything has to be done THOUGH using the chat feature, which makes it cumbersome as a financial app because I don’t want to waste time dealing with a finicky AI to get stuff setup. It randomly spouts out its “ideas” when you select that option (there’s no tab you can go to to see a generalized list and choose what’s best for your situation) this makes it something you have to wade through, especially if you’re already doing some of their tips or can’t do to certain circumstances.
I don’t know why this was suggested to me. I thought I’d try it but I already use a few financial apps and keep track of my finances because I don’t really make that much as it is.

Very helpful

In the beginning, I downloaded the app simply to join its lottery of winning money. Unfortunately I didn’t win money and I was quite upset. Until I started to play around and chat with it, I realized it gives really helpful ideas and provided me great resources in helping me manage my money and reduce my spending/debts. At first, it helped me save on car insurance by changing to other insurance company, then refer me to Upstart where I can get a loan with very low APR to pay off my credit card debts. I’m really glad that I was introduced to this app. Thank you so much for creating the app.

Skeptical at first...

Charlie’s helping me find things to cut out or save on and another app is finding loop holes in the system for bank reimbursements and anything else I can get back.... tax return was enough to pay my friend back for borrowing me money to move in where I am now. My roommate just told me this weekend rents going up because electricity bills tripled,... of course it has , what else could happen, all I need now is to loose my job and my backwards life will be on the perfect path to ,.. depression and dispare.
