Wander-lust!

I’ve had the pleasure of staying at both the Tahoe house and Anchor Bay house, and both stays far exceeded my expectations!

The locations, prime time! Smart house, amazing! Houses are impeccable, modern, outfitted with amazing work stations and well stocked with everything (and I mean everything) you could possibly need! I was nervous cooking in the house as in other experiences I needed to pack so many things, but not at a Wander house! They have absolutely everything to make cooking a breeze! If you ever find yourself at Wander Anchor Bay and are a golfer, I highly recommend golfing at the sea links course, Sea Ranch! It was amazing, we golfed 2 days straight (would have been 3 if we went earlier in the trip!). This course is also listed on the “things to do” wander sends to you before your trip. I cannot say enough wonderful things about my stays, with Anchor Bay being my absolute favorite so far! I walked in to music playing and a jaw-dropping sunset from every window in the house, what more can you ask for!

If I could go to a wander house every weekend, I’d be there! Amazing company, impeccable team and concierge, I can’t wait to stay at another Wander house soon!

I celebrated the holidays in 2021 at Wander Anchor Bay and it was an incredible experience. My family has always done the holidays at home and this year we wanted to try something different. Our stay at Wander truly did not disappoint. We were welcomed with a fridge stocked with our favorite snacks and drinks. My family loves to cook so we were super nervous about having everything we’d need to prepare our meals. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook, and I couldn’t have been more pleased. Honestly, it was better than what we even have at home. I loved the attention to detail at this house.

The house was super clean, cozy, and modest. The views and outdoor space though, those were absolutely breathtaking. There’s so much to do outdoors on the property from hot tubbing, hanging out at the gym/sauna, and reading at the outdoor work station. Oh.. and wanna escape from the chaos? There’s a private love bed overlooking the Pacific Ocean. No big deal.

I ended up extending my stay a few days and working from home between Christmas and New Years. The wifi was incredible and the work station was perfect for what I needed.

Thank you wander for the best few days! I will be a life long customer. I’ll mention, I’ve since stayed at 3 other wander properties… they were equally incredible and special to me.

Hear me out

The house in Myrtle Beach, SC is beautiful but so many annoyances mainly due to the tech not working properly. We were having to chat with the concierge the entirety of the stay. Took us an hour to get the app working properly to actually register that we were staying at the house upon arrival. That night we discovered we had no hot water, come to find out, the gas tanks were completely empty. Couldn’t cook on gas stove, grill or have hot water until late the next day. Elevator- might as well not have one as that was a mechanical nightmare. Golf cart wouldn’t start even after following directions- apparently there was a hidden switch to turn. Rooms lacked regular supplies- no pillow cases on beds, missing bath mats, towels, body wash. Most of the tech perks toted in the bedrooms didn’t even work. Trash bins were filled to the brim and overflowing when we arrived. We had a great time but definitely lots of oversight by whoever prepared the house. Needs better onsite management to make sure tech is working properly and everything is stocked appropriately. For what you’re paying, I didn’t anticipate us having so many issues. Not sure if I’d do another wander.
