I love the concept of the app and think it has great potential.
One suggestion to make it more useful is to have the option to create digital envelopes that mirror the categories/monthly budget we have set up on our Every Dollar account.
My wife and I try to track our transactions weekly in Every Dollar, but sometimes end up doing it monthly. It would be nice if the Gazelle app could give you feedback at the point of purchase (maybe by sending a notification after each purchase?) to say something along the lines of, “You just spent $150 on groceries. You have $X remaining in your grocery budget this month”
There was another budget app we’ve tried where the user must pre-authorize any purchase by selecting which digital envelope to pull the money from (and thus forced the user to make a decision beforehand about whether that purchase would enable them to reach their monthly budgeted goal). Ultimately ended up not using this app as much because it didn’t talk with the Every Dollar app and it was difficult to aggregate transactions monthly. If Gazelle could incorporate something like this, I think it would be super successful.
I’m new to Gazelle. Seems pretty interesting. I haven’t used the card yet. I’m confused if you need to add funds to the card to be able to use it, or if you can just use the card and it’ll charge the associated bank account? Also, every time I close the app and open it again, I have to login. It doesn’t save my login, and I don’t see any option to save my login. Not sure if anyone else has this issue, but it’s just mildly inconvenient to have to type in the login every time. It’d be nice to have the FaceID saved login feature, or maybe even a PIN saved login feature.

Thanks for the review! Just wanted to let you know that in order to use Gazelle you would have to load funds from a separate bank account or you can use other methods like direct deposit to load funds. Once the funds are loaded you can use the card anywhere you would use a debit card. Lastly, just wanted to let you know FaceID and biometric sign in is now here! Just make sure your app us up to date and the feature is turned on in Account settings. Hope this helps. Thanks again!

At first I thought this would be awesome. I follow Ramsey products and have not had any issues. So gave this a try. Deposit from another bank account was awesome feature but they had an issue and went to fix it. Happened after a month in. I had followed up several times and was told they were working on it. They did fix the withdrawal function but the deposit to the account from another bank does not and will not work. They do not have a fix. I have several big name bank accounts and never have had this issue. I know this is a new program but this is an issue that should have been resolved way before the new year. I’m disappointed and hope to see this get fixed in the future. At the moment I’m not sure how to deposit in this without direct deposit and seeing how they have issues with bank to bank transfers not sure if I will hold much past spring. I will give them time to fix but not holding my breath. Doesn’t seem like a good Ramsey product and I don’t see them advertise it any more.
