In 2015, we started Minder with the intention of helping Muslims all over the world get married. Since then, we’ve helped match tens of thousands of people with their spouses. We loved being Minder, but we needed a name that better reflects our mission and values. Today, we are happy to welcome you to Salams! Along with our name change, we’ve added a suite of new features like voice notes, Islamic priorities, and other enhanced profile features to further enrich the experience. We are excited to start this new journey with you.

Join almost 2,000,000 (yes, really) other single Muslims looking for their spouse on Salams (formerly Minder)! Featured on the New York Times, Vice, Washington Post, Daily Beast, Der Spiegel, and more! Salams is the popular approach to finding a great Muslim spouse.

Who has time to go and meet everyone your auntie recommends for you? With Salams, you only spend time on the people you like.

We only display your first name, and the pictures and profile information you provide. You can block any user from seeing or chatting with you at any time. All profiles are verified by a selfie and GPS location.

Why does finding a compatible spouse have to be such a negative experience? Minder lightens the mood and makes it fun.

Profiles on Salams include everything you want to know about someone including their sect, education, career, height, prayer levels, and more!

Muslims are diverse and everyone has their ideal marriage timeline and process. Whatever it is, you’ll find users on Salams that meet fit your process and what you’re looking for in a partner.

Finding someone is as easy as swiping! Swipe right if you are interested, swipe left if you are not. Your swipes are anonymous and you are only matched with someone if they swipe right on you too. When you match, we’ll notify you both and you can start chatting!

Salams (formerly Minder) is free to download and use for all of our main features. However, if you’re looking to get more out of Salams (formerly Minder), you can subscribe to the optional Salams Premium. Prices and features for Salams Premium are clearly displayed in the app. Some things to keep in mind if you decide to subscribe to Salams Premium:

Honestly this is a great app, but I feel like sometimes people don’t take it seriously. But I think that for the people that do it’s worth taking a shot in. Tbh the guys on here are fine, sometimes they’re all hyper sexual but this doesn’t mean they’re bad dudes it’s the culture of Americans now regardless of religion. They should however be respectful and not say f boy crap right from the start. If anything I’m more flaky on this app than anyone.
There’s plenty of genuine, awesome people on here whom have become my life long friends when we realized we weren’t a match. Would recommend. Put on your profile you want a serious relationship and write an actual bio if you want people to take you seriously

Honest opinion

I have been on this app on and off now for a year and honestly I can say I have experienced the most disrepesct from men on this app than I have in real life. I get judged based on my Islamic sect even when the guys have their chosen Islam flavor as “any muslim” which makes no sense. I got called “a fake religious sunni” when his profile said “any flavor” I have written reviews before on other men that I have added on offline platforms through the app. I have realized that even when you write a review or send in a report they do not update you this app is honestly 50% creepers looking for a “good time” & the other 50% are guys judging off your profile. I have been a premium member through this amount of time and I have had worst experiences when it comes to finding someone serious even the guys that I report for Inappropriate offline behavior which includes sending nudes and such disrepectful habits still manage to be on Minder. I feel like they do not take our reports seriously because the guy’s profiles are still up when some of my friends use minder. They do not take it seriously and this is my honest opinion after using it for almost 10 months.

Cash grab

As someone who gets tons of matches, let me tell you how poorly the app is designed. Firstly, if you’re not a premium user you’ll most likely find yourself swiping on 100s of accounts that haven’t been active for months, it even displays that. However, since there is no way to filter these people, you end up wasting swipes. Even after you get premium, you still have to swipe over an absurd amount of people who just haven’t used the app in months which is ultimately a waste of money/time . The distance settings on this app are also ridiculous. There is no reason to have such wide distances. I don’t know why the national distance includes Canada its a separate freaking country. The more likely reason why distance settings are so broad, is because the actual ACTIVE people who use this app are very small, otherwise everyone would run out of profiles to swipe on. That’s why they inflate numbers with inactive users. Lastly, I don’t understand why I have to fill out every single dumb thing on the profile, make everything optional. There is no reason for me attach a whole questionnaire to my profile.
