Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period unless cancelled more than 24 hours before the end of the active period.

No cancellation of the current subscription is allowed during active subscription period.

You can turn off auto-renewal of subscriptions via iTunes. The subscription will end automatically at the end of the active subscription period.
