Anghami: Play Music & Podcasts 4+

The music collection on the app is amazing, but the app keeps crashing and signing out, specially when I’m using it offline. Also the fact that I cannot categorize newly downloaded content as albums instead of individual songs is a little bit annoying, specially for someone with an extremely large music library. The app on Apple Watch is literally embarrassing, I keep going back to default “Now Playing” Apple app to switch between songs because the Anghami app doesn’t work at all on the Watch, its kind of ruining the Apple Watch experience. Although my review might seem negative but I’m definitely and surely enjoying every minute on the app and I literally use it all day, great job guys :)

It’s a great app for all genres of music with almost every song thinkable. I tried a free trial for the plus version and loved every single one of the features, however as the plus version is just too expensive to pay per month, I have been using the basic free version. It becomes sort of annoying at the lack of things you can do, you cannot do anything really, can’t go forwards or back in a song, can’t go to a previous song, can’t play some songs. And then there is the constant ads which I would expect for a free version, but there at some point it becomes too much. It comes to the point where either you buy the plus version or you choose another app. I personally think the developers should set up a package that is much cheaper but only has a few basic features (Being able to play any song, being able to go back and forth between songs but still having a few ads playing etc…) Since paying for the plus version is not possible, I’m thinking of using other apps.

Anghami plus lite is a cheaper version with limited features, which allows you to download up to 20 songs only for offline listening and play songs as much as needed while connected to internet. The Family subscription is a full access plan that allows you to invite up to 5 users to it, making it 6 users with you, using the same subscription. This apps plus feature is great but their non plus feature is absolutely horrendous. It’s frustrating and almost impossible to use. The app, when not in plus mode purposely crashes, does not allow you to select the song you want to listen to unless after multiple tries, purposely takes longer than it should to load a song and of recently doesn’t even let you search for a song to listen to.

On top of all of this the app is not internationally friendly. You can not purchase Plus mode if you live in Sudan unless you carry a sim card from only one specific service provider. You also can not restore you previous purchases as it is “unavailable in the region”

Absolutely trash app, terrible customer service, make it practically impossible for you to use in regular mode thus making it clear that unless you’re making them money don’t want anything to do with you

Hello, we are here to help you but what you mentioned concerning purposely issues happening on the free version is not true, we can help you fix these issues by contacting us from the mobile app help section. You can subscribe to Anghami Plus through Sudani in the meantime, but we are working to add more operators there. The free version has some restrictions because Anghami pays royalties for labels/artists each time you listen to a song, so these restrictions help us maintain the costs.
