Mobile banking - Domestic Transfer

If you transfer funds from your DIB to other banks choose the transfer using IBAN, even tho they have an option of CARD NUMBER. It is not specified that CARD NUMBER is actually for credit card payment. And when you call them, the agent will assume that every customer should know the technicalities even if they aren’t stated. The only time you will know that your transaction is rejected is after you gave them a call, even after receiving an email confirmation from them that the transaction has been initiated and completed.

Worst Customer Service I have ever faced

My request was very simple!! Statement of Account!! That’s it!! I have visited one of your DIB branches (Al Barsha Mall), I was advised that I can’t get what I need from the bank itself and I need to communicate with the customer service thru phone! It seems weird to me but I did the same, then after waiting for more than 6 hrs I was finally able to speak with a human being not a recorded sound! And unfortunately he couldn’t do my request and he asked me to download the lovely DIB application to get my request done! I still did the same and downloaded the application, but I have a question (What if I don’t have a smart phone or I’m not able to download the application for any reason?! Is this a must),
Anyhow I downloaded the app and I started signing In, and after answering a bunch of questions and wasting my time I received a message that the DIB mobile access has been disabled (with no valid reason) all the steps were right!! Now I’m supposed to call them again and wait for more 6 hours to speak to someone! RIDICULOUS and unprofessional..

Service not reliable

Tried opening current account from this app and received confirmation for the same.. told my HR to transfer salary into this account but days after registration i called to ask for the welcome Kit and raised complaint.. received a call next day that the account status is dormant because documents weren’t uploaded properly which is strange as the app took two hours of my time to accept docs in correct format.. the guys said nothing can be done for this account and i have to visit branch to open account. Which I definitely will not do considering this type of first impression of one of the best banks in UAE... when DIB knew about this issue with my account They should have at-least sent me an email regarding that... now my HR is trying her best to get my salary in my other bank account as she had already sent the request for salary transfer...
So in nutshell would not recommend account opening from app and if you do they you are the one to follow up..
