Many issues with dubai first but to start with 1. You have a landline number to call for customer service 2. When you call in IVR there is no option of talking to customer service. If you select reward balance option , that takes you to the customer support. 3. Then it’s my 3rd call and waiting for more than 10 mins each but no one received. So I spent around 20 AED to call dubai first without being able to reach anyone 4. A free for life card (cash back) is converted into an annual subscription card and now no one is receive if calls to get a confirmation on this 5. A million more issue but can not write it all Overall review is like 2/5 and pathetic customer support when ever I was able to reach.
The worst banking experience you can think of
I’ve received multiple phone calls from marketers for this credit card. After I signed up, half of the offer promises were lies, such as 5% cash back for all purchases and free for life subscription.
The app doesn’t work on par with other providers. God forbid you face a problem with the card, because if you do, customer service is unprofessional and unhelpful. I asked for the monthly interest payments to be clarified and the agent kept diverting the question. He did not seem to grasp the simple concept of compound interest.
Without any notification, I was enrolled in an insurance plan that charges me one percent of my outstanding balance per month. The insurance plan supposedly pays a 10 percent of my outstanding balance ONCE, in case of job loss. I contacted customer service for the charges, the agent clarified that I should’ve read the terms and conditions. I explained that something like this should’ve been communicated during the sale process. After much negotiation, with the the agent and their manager, I was “offered” a refund of the hidden insurance charges only after spending 5,000 with the card within two months.
I cannot wait to pay off my outstanding balance and never use this card again.
Avoid this bank and credit card provider at all cost.
Rewards not available & support option not working
The cash back button keeps showing “Rewards not available , please try again later”. I have talked with the support and was asked to log out and do a fresh log in which wasn’t useful. I have tried to uninstall and install the app again which made it even worse since the app stopped working at all by saying you have too many devices linked to your account. I thereby was required to raise a support ticket and wait for 3 days to get my device unlinked. This made the app start working again but I can still not see my current cash back and use it.
The whole purpose of a cash back card is to be able to see and use your cash back, which I can’t.
Another thing as mentioned by others is that you call the support number and there is no option to connect to the support agent. The only way I could find a way to get connected was to select that I had lost my card, which doesn’t feel right.
