Seriously the best app read it
I don’t usually write reviews but this app really deserves it.
No lag, all the functionality and fantastic choices of edit.
Seriously this is how the app is supposed to be made.
Even the free version has everything that you need to get started, and the best part, NO ads. I have used free version for a month after which I realized there is nothing better out there. With free version you are limited only to three notebooks, so when I saw the need in more I just made the one time purchase. It’s definitely worth the price and it stays forever (10$). No monthly fees like other apps and no pay to write. If the app is made from then it should definitely look like this one. 10/10. Don’t know why some people complain about the lag. It’s fantastic app and it will never ruin your situation with unexpected popups.
Great overall, couple of small issues only
Works great with the Apple Pencil, has the feature of erasing and then switching back to writing tool immediately which makes note taking more efficient. Also has dark mode which I love, it saves battery on your device and it’s less strenuous on your eyes. I’ve taken one star off because the feature of converting handwritten notes to text is not as straight forward as it could be. You have to select the handwritten portion you want to convert, convert to text, copy that text, insert an empty text box and then paste the text into the text box. I was expecting that once you converted the notes, you wouldn’t need to do the copy paste step, it would be more automatic. However I will say that what the app got right is that it can convert the worst handwritings that I’ve tried, and it spell checks very accurately in many languages. On the other hand not all languages are available , but I personally don’t use the app in those languages luckily. I would only take half a star off if I could, I’m satisfied with the app.
Laggy Apple Pencil
I have purchased this app because I got fed up with notability messy files management. I really wanted an app where it is easy to mange my notes. GoodNotes is a wonderful application. The UI is nice and well thought. The highlighter is much better than the ones I used in notability and OneNotes. There is no shortage of good things I can write about with this app. My biggest complain is the writing experience. There seems to be a noticeable lag between my Apple Pencil movements and the writing that appears on the viewfinder. In addition, I don’t know if it is me or the app, but my writing seems to be much worse than it is with both notability and onenotes. Somehow it is much messier here compared to notability and onenotes. If the Apple Pencil issue is fixed, I would happily give this app a 5 stars since it is really one of the best out there imo.
