  • Too many transaction problems!

    I was very disappointed of mashreq for 2 consecutive weeks i get nothing but problems. Last week I had a purchase transaction using a POS machine which shows declined 3 times however the amount was taken from my account! They also told me that it will be reversed within 7days but till now i still did not get my money! Now fast forward this week just today my wife transferred 3000aed in my account however it is did not reflect in my account but the transaction is showing. I called CS and was just informed that it will show in the morning to think it is M2M transfer. I was working with a US bank before and for this kind of problem where we see that an amount is on hold we just need to ask some verification questions and we can release the funds was verified and it will only take few mins. I wonder why such a big bank have this problem and users are the one facing the problem which is not ok. Now I am thinking of switching banks for sure! CS is not that helpful and a lot of issues for such a big bank.!

  • Very disappointed with the service. Worst banking service

    I will never suggest anyone to open your account on this bank. I haven’t seen such a bad service of a bank in my life. I am having problem with my account that I am not being able to withdraw transfer or do any kind of transaction through the bank because they have blocked my account and my account is frozen and I don’t even know why is this happening . Then I tried to contact with them through every possible way I can. I texted on instagram, sent so many emails, tried to contact online on mobile app and also on calls but whenever I tried to contact every different person says different thing. The common thing they say is I have sent an email to the upper level people who have frozen your account so I will be in contact with you after 24 hrs or 2 to 3 days and I always say okay I will wait hoping that my issue will be solved and I will be able to withdraw my money. But every 2 to 3 days I got disappointed. I got call from bank they said “You will be able to withdraw your money after 24 hrs but it also disappoint me. Why don’t the costumer service or whoever I contacted didn’t tell the truth about my issue and when will I be able to get my money. Really frustrating and sad to write this thing and I will never suggest anyone to open an account on this bank.

  • App Fails New Customers

    Many new Mashreq Bank customers likely join this financial institution via a new credit card. This should make Mashreq Bank quite happy given their aggressive credit card sales program. Unfortunately, the app doesn’t mention ‘credit card activation’ on its front page. There are no prompts, no way to access customer service support through the app unless you either have an active Mashreq account with a current Mashreq user ID and password; or you sign up as a new user. Unbeknownst to me, a loan salesman had signed me up to a Mashreq Gold account years ago. I didn’t get the loan but the account apparently remained active. I never had a user ID or password so I couldn’t sign in. I tried to request new ones but this requires a 16 digit credit card. Can’t use that - not activated yet because I cannot sign in to app. The only recourse for my issue is to seek help from customer service. The app doesn’t provide a method to do that unless you sign in. This methodology (or lack thereof) is flawed resulting in unnecessary frustration. The app is supposed to be the centerpiece of Mashreq Bank customer service. It fails.

  • A real shock when dealing with Mashreq from abroad

    Honestly speaking I am really shocked with recent experience with Mashreq bank . For certain reasons(no need to mention ) lam on a leave in a different country . I did all I can to pay my credit card minimum payments I couldn’t . I tried through the snapshot . It didn’t work the answer you don’t have a current account. Well I have one and I have a balance which I keep as reserve . I called the customer service centre . I gave them all the data & verification needed. The answer “we can not do any thing because your current account has been frozen ) why ? No answer . Same time the bank is taking charges for late payment from me which is not fair . I sent a letter with the slip to pay the minimum sum due through DHL to the card center in Dubai ( P.O. box1250) . The card center refused to receive the DHl message . It came back and it was very costly. So what kind of a Bank is this I want to pay my debits from my money which is in the bank itself the bank refuses instead they bank is charging me for late payment . Well this really unfair & unjust ‘

  • Poor customer service

    The customer service is so bad they just they’re gonna tell you to wait for 24 hours, but there is nothing if you had some transaction you have to wait. Maybe if there is some problem. You have to wait around 5day maybe that money you can’t get.I had some transaction but I didn’t received until now some customer service called me and ask me to provide name nationality of sender, but when I’m trying to call to provide them was asking me I just they told me to wait 24 hours because first time I emailed to them that nothing respond and I tried by a phone call, but the answer is like I have to wait just wait. Wait wait what kind of services and I try to email them again, but there is nothing they didn’t refund the money or at least nothing so bad and the poor experience with the mushroom so please guys think first before using me I don’t know why you are doing like this already. We are paying every single man’s they are detecting from our account to 23 Durham, every single month

  • The worst banking experience ever!

    Worst banking experience ever. I tried to open an account in June. They keep asking for my documents. I keep sending the documents. I call them everyday for 3 months. And everytime I call, they will ask me to send the documents. I keep sending. They will even send me message or call that they have recieved the document, only for me to call the next day and they will say we’re sorry please send the document to another email address. Finally they sent someone to come and collect the documents. I thought finally. The next day after the courier guy collected the documents. They asked me to send the same documents again. To yet another email address. This was how we did back and forth for 3 months. Until my Licence expired. One week after my license expired. They called and said they are going to close the account because “I couldn’t provide Licence”. Even though I already applied to renew the Licence, I was too angry and just fed up with the whole thing. I asked them to close it. Mashreq? Never.
