Vet’Touch Safe is an application which allows veterinarians to perform a complete and professional biosecurity audit on the farm in a simple and effective way. It is a full audit that works with or without an internet connection. It can be completed in the normal visit time.
It includes a list of audits and audits appointments with dates of each and indications of the statement of completion. The application is built with blocks on specific themes that allow the vet to go directly to the subject of interest. Data is saved in real time, so at any time you can stop and restart later. The practitioner has to respond to several short questions which are simple, clear and quick to complete. Help can be found using the question mark (?), there are information if needed. At the end of the audit, based on a scoring system developed by Ghent University in Belgium, the application provides the results of the audit to the practitioner with marks on the key points of the internal and external biosecurity. The results are also displayed graphically in a way that gives a clear image of the situation to the farmer. Finally, the main points are listed in order of seriousness and at each point, the practitioner can write advice and comments after discussion with the farmer. The practitioner then gives an overall conclusion, including all the decisions taken by the farmer following the veterinarians advice. The results of the audit are given in a real time with no delay in reporting. Back to his office, the practitioner can save or print the report as a pdf document and keep a copy in the farmer’s dossier.
