Radio Station. Podcast. Academy. ModernRock.ca (formerly known as What was That?) was founded in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, in September 2020 by Jon Williams. Having worked in commercial rock radio for over a decade Jon left to start a true Modern Rock Discovery Radio Station that focuses purely on releases from 2020 onwards. ModernRock.ca has over 5000 songs by 2500+ bands in rotation, with only the best new releases of the week added as time progresses.
