As a bank I agree you need to take care of security. But controlling session and not loading apps due to other apps installed I a very lame way to handle security. You need to use the right kind of products that add a good security and also handle the risk management. Remove the block of teamviewer and any desk. As a network person we sometimes need those app available on the device. Why can’t you do that check on an funds transfer level or some high value transaction? Think differently about security.

As a long-time user of the SBI Yono app, I am extremely disappointed with the ongoing issues related to NRE (Non-Resident External) account registration. Despite the app’s numerous updates and improvements, the inability to register or effectively manage NRE accounts has persisted for over two years, reflecting poorly on the bank’s commitment to serving its global customer base.

This persistent issue significantly hinders the usability of the app for NRIs, who rely heavily on seamless banking solutions to manage their finances from abroad. The lack of resolution has led to considerable frustration, making what should be a straightforward process unnecessarily complex and time-consuming.

The NRE registration problem undermines the convenience that the Yono app aims to provide, compelling many users to seek alternative banking solutions. It’s high time SBI addresses this critical flaw to restore confidence among its NRI customers and enhance the app’s overall functionality.

I am appalled by the fact that one of India's largest banks, SBI, is unable to develop a simple and functional transactional app for all its customers. As a loyal customer of SBI for over four decades, I have witnessed a decline in the quality and commitment of their services over the years. The app they have provided is a clear demonstration of how customer experience can be utterly baffling.

It almost feels like SBI has entrusted the development of this app to an inexperienced intern. Alternatively, it appears that an incompetent tech company is shamelessly profiting from SBI. The Chief Information Officer (CIO), if there even is one, should be immediately dismissed for their abysmal tech strategy. From the failed transition from conventional to Yono, to the disastrous Yono web, and the subsequent switch back to conventional, SBI's incompetence is glaring.

The Yono app is yet another failure, and even the supposedly lighter version, Yono Lite, disappoints. It is astonishing that a basic function like registering for the app is a complete disaster.

It is high time that SBI takes action and removes the CIO from their position, sends the current tech company packing, and hires a more competent firm that can deliver a decent banking app. This disappointing experience with SBI has left me disillusioned and disheartened.
