MyFitnessPal: Calorie Counter

Food tracking and weight loss

View

MyFitnessPal helps you stay on top of your health goals. Set your targets and snap a picture of each meal or scan a barcode on your snack packaging; the app’s artificial intelligence (AI) will automatically calculate the calories and nutritional details for fuss-free tracking.

What we love: Did we mention how easy it all is? MyFitnessPal has a log of more than 14 million foods, so if you eat it, they’ve probably got it. If you’re not sure what to eat, consult the app’s virtual recipe book for inspiration or follow a dedicated meal plan. MyFitnessPal takes a well-rounded approach to overall health, and features over 50 guided workouts – all of which can be synced to Apple Watch.

Get granular with your food tracking – and check your progress towards your daily intake goals.

Quick tip: Detailed nutrition reports offer great motivation for your wellness journey. Learn where your calories are going, check that you’re getting your macros and nail the balance between proteins, carbs and fat. The MyFitnessPal community is 200 million strong and growing, and they offer encouragement as well as advice on health, fitness and nutrition.

Meet the creator: MyFitnessPal was founded by brothers Mike and Albert Lee in 2005. Mike wanted to lose weight and feel healthier in time for his beach wedding, but he couldn’t find an app to help him track his food intake and calories – so he decided to create one himself.
