Description
VLC is a free and open source cross-platform multimedia player.
It can play all your movies, shows and music in most formats directly without conversion.
It allows file synchronization with Dropbox, GDrive, OneDrive, Box, iCloud Drive, iTunes, direct downloads and through Wi-Fi sharing as well as streaming from SMB, FTP, SFTP, NFS, UPnP/DLNA media servers and the web.
VLC offers support for advanced subtitles including full SSA compatibility, multi-track audio, playback speed control and rendering through Chromecast.
VLC is completely free and open source.

Doesn’t play cue files
I downloaded this to play flac format albums I have. After adding everything through WiFi I can see all the files but it doesn’t recognize the cue file and I’m left with just flac file that doesn’t have playing list, artist and song names etc
Great redesign
I was shedding tears of joy when I first heard about the upcoming complete redesign of the app. The old version was extremely outdated and inconsistent with the rest of the apps in the store.
After using this new incarnation of the app for some time I’m happy to say it’s very good. It’s simple, powerful, and it’s free. I do think however, there’s work to be done with the interface. Here’s a brief list of things I think the developers should pay attention to. The list is not comprehensive and represents only my own opinions.
Ability to delete playlists
Ability to mark a video as watched with a UI indicator
Audio track/subtitle switching using native iOS UI components
Better icon
I am incredibly thankful for the work you guys have done with the app. It’s a joy to use.
