Description
Level 3 corresponds to a pre-intermediate level (level B1 of the CECRL).
Like for levels 1 and 2, the HSK 3 is an exam evaluating your ability to read and listen to Chinese. What makes level 3 different is the test of your ability to write Chinese characters.
The HSK 3 has a maximum of 300 points. Their distribution is equal between the 3 sections: 100 points for the Listening section, 100 for the Reading section, and 100 for the Writing section.
To pass the HSK 3, you need to get at least 180 points.
The structure of the Listening section is as follows:
- 4 exercises with 10 questions each
- 35 minutes to respond to the questions, then 5 minutes to select the responses on your answer sheet
- each audio extract is played 2 times
