Ratings and Reviews
Very fun but frustrating at times
I’ve been playing Boom Castle for about a week. I’m really enjoying it. I like it because it doesn’t force you to watch advertisements. There are ads in the game and you can watch them to earn a reward if you want but they’re not required. The first 5 levels are fairly easy and do require some thinking and strategy, but after that the difficulty ramps up pretty quickly. Also, the heroes and power-ups that are offered in a round are totally random so you may get everything you want/need or nothing at all and fail terribly. I think I’m around level 15 and I’ve reached a complete stoppage in the game where my heroes and bonuses aren’t nearly powerful enough to even get a 1 star to be able to advance to the next level.
Lacks support
It’s entertaining , no doubt, but for example, I can’t find a way to open the large gems and there is no support or instructions even in the game that tells me. Otherwise, it is a very nice game.
Great game but out of balance
Solid game that I enjoyed playing but the devs haven’t figured out the game’s economy yet which is negatively affecting the balance of the game. End result is slow level progression for both character and support units. This amounts to story levels that are overly hard to beat and require too much grind to overtake with strategy / if even possible. This compounds level to level amounting to lower rewards for the player and contributing to even slower progression with the eventual brick wall. Real money investments are hard to justify with the economy not working properly and no clear path to success with spending.
