So much potential

Really great technology that’s currently underdeveloped. Not able to display some of the most important metrics for running, like lap pace, so I can’t give it 5 stars.

Improved app makes a huge difference

The latest app changes ActiveLook a lot, for the better. The new data field integration for Garmin still requires some attention to set up, but once it’s done, the connection is stable and the ability to customize your screens is huge. I set up screen 1 for hiit and screen two for recovery, and I can easily see just what I need to see while running. I didn’t expect it would make such a big difference, but using this app with Engo makes me more relaxed and confident because I don’t need to slow down all the time to check my wrist. Didn’t realize I was training with some low level anxiety- now it’s gone. This is an example of how a little thing makes a big difference.

Good but Not Great

I have been using the Engo 2's for a couple of weeks now. There are lots of things to like about them. I really like the concept and had hoped they would be similar to my Form Goggles, which I love.

First let me say that if you are of above average build I would go with the Engo 2's in large. I have also tried them in different lighting and had no issues seeing the information or the trails. I also had no issues with them sliding off my face even on a rough gravel ride.

I want to like them. However, there are areas where the app and software needs improvement.

Where I am having troubles are in a few key locations. The first is that I can not get it to connect to my Apple Watch Ultra. Support has acknowledged this issue and is working on a fix. This may also be the root of all my other issues, but until this is sorted, I will not know if it is or is not. The reason I think it is, is because if I can run the glasses through my watch then there should not be any latency and I can also set my hr monitor to my watch creating the integration I need.

Another issue I found is I can not delete workouts. Every time I try I get a specific bug that then will not allow me to delete the information. I have even deleted the apps and reinstalled and gotten the same issues.

My workouts push zero information to my Apple Health when it is coming from my phone.

When using the run choice, my workout always starts at .01 miles and not zero. This did not happen today when I was using them on my bike with a bile workout.

Yesterday in a hike, the glasses were showing .09 miles greater than my watch when they were both started at the same time

I can not get my bluetooth hr monitor to connect from the phone. This is the most frustrating because I bought the glasses to help with heart rate training.

The distances on the bike I think were close enough however the speeds were not always aligning. Sometimes they were going in opposite directions. I was riding my e-bike so the speed and distance on my phone were tied to the bike. Again this might be fixed with an update. This might also be because I am riding on a tire size they do not list.

It would be nice to set up the screens from one device instead of having to do it on both my phone and my watch.
