So far the best ad blocker I’ve found since my previous favorite changed their algorithm and stopped working in-app. This has been an excellent replacement and is easy to turn off when something is blocked that I actually need to see. Definitely recommended.

I got an email from the dev letting me know that there’s a new Ad Buster (paid). No thanks, I was really happy with the old one. HOWEVER, in the app store, there’s a notification that there’s an UPDATE to the old one. I wasn’t going to update, but I decided I was updating the other apps, wth. I made the HORRIBLE mistake of UPDATING the old app. *^%##%^%##% !!! After you update the old one, it looks SO deceptively simple, although there are NO choices to select - you have ONLY ONE CHOICE. You have to click to enable the app. Simple enough, right ? When you click enable, a pop-up appears (ironic) asking you to “allow/don’t allow” the app to have FULL VPN ACCESS. You, of course, click “don’t allow”. When you click “don’t allow”, the ad blocker is automatically disabled.Your Ad Buster ad blocker is gone - both the updated one AND the old one you had before that worked just fine, WITHOUT them having full VPN access. Don’t worry, the new app that the dev made, that they want you to PAY for is, of course, still available in the app store.No thanks.

The download took longer than the install! Seriously, it was THAT easy. After only a handful of days using Ad Buster it has blocked over 32,000 ad requests and busted several thousand. UPDATE: 100% better than Apple’s attempt at a VPN.

This app used to work pretty well though it’s always required cutting/reporting of some ads in certain websites but lately it’s been failing to work. It never blocks ads in my weather app anymore though it used to. I have tried reaching out to the developer for help but they never reply. So basically it’s hit or miss with more misses lately and no support! Very disappointing since it was a good ad blocker before.
