Lost Lands 1 4+

Much more than expected!

As a free to play point and click puzzle game, I had low expectations for this. The game greatly surpassed those expectations! The background music is appropriate to the scene and well done, the graphical images are clear (pinch to zoom helps in puzzles where the objective is finding hidden items). Perhaps most importantly, the puzzles range from fairly easy to somewhat challenging but never days-on-end frustrating. I didn’t need hints at all and you are offered five free ones to stay with. The map is large and the story is much longer than I would have expected from a free game.

The bonus chapter also has plenty to offer and it is not expensive. I purchased more hints as a way to support the dev before realizing the bonus chapter required payment but $5 did not seem excessive for the entire content. Certainly $2 or $3 for the bonus chapter is completely fair after you have played through the main game for free.

I am already through half of the second game in the series and it is better than this one. So glad I found this series later on as I see there are many more sequels, and different series of games, from this developer. I look forward to spending hours with them all, keep them coming Five-BN!

Rich story and amazing characters!

I’m picky about the games I play on my iPad, and I wanted a game where you solve puzzles and work through a storyline. The Lost Lands series is phenomenal! The artwork is beautiful and the story is great. All seven games are full of challenging puzzles and you get to know and love the characters, and you feel excited to play through the game. You could play through the whole series without watching ONE ad if you really wanted to, but I just wanted to support this game developer because I was actually impressed with how great this series was, given it was just an app for my iPad lol. I’m very impressed. Im on the seventh game of the series now and and I’m sad it’s ending, but I’ll play the next series! I hope some of this storyline gets tied in but yeah. It’ll pull at your heartstrings and will keep you entertained for hours. Okay that’s all! Thanks so much!!

Loving it but

I am loving the latest release by five-bn. Yay!! The only issue that I am having is that there was no option to customize or choose my difficulty of play. Maybe it is because I am still playing the free option? So it has me playing on the highest difficulty level, not by my choice. The hints are limited (only 5 of them - I have used 2 after a good hour and a half of play), the map option does not show you where actions of interest are (but you can teleport). Your character is the same from the legends of lost game but the story line is new. So I do not know if the lack of customization is a glitch (I have a feeling it is). I am holding off on buying the game because I do not want to redownload when it gets fixed. But the game does rock as all five- bn games do!!!!!

Hello! No, it's not a glitch, it's a peculiarity of the F2P version. In the F2P version, the difficulty level is pre-set and cannot be changed. The same applies to the map, it shows available actions in the full version, while in the F2P version this feature is not available. Regarding the free coins, you can get 10 more by pressing the "Free Coin" button in the "Store" menu - altogether it makes 15 coins, which is quite a decent amount to start with.
