PacePlay was inspired by Swedish Fartlek training, a methodology that produced many world records in the 1940s. Now it is a very popular training method of endurance athletes everywhere, from novices to Olympians. Have fun and reach your goals with PacePlay.

PacePlay comes with 2 modes, providing flexibility for every athlete to create the workout they want. PRESET INTERVALS lets you set the desired time for pick ups (faster pace) and slow downs (steady pace). SURPRISE PICKUPS lets you set maximum and minimum times for pickups, and the app takes care of the rest.

The app keeps track of your distance and pace throughout the workout. And at the end of the workout, you can see your overall pace as well as your pace during the faster pick ups.

Want to keep your phone in a pocket or an armband? PacePlay comes with audio cues (in addition to visual cues) throughout every workout. Plus you can listen to your favorite playlist at the same time!

My top tool to get me through the workout!

Loving this app - whenever I go interval running, it’s been hard to see the time on my Fitbit and be able to run full out without having to keep look at my watch (which ruins how hard I can push myself and just focus on sprinting). This solves for that. Gives you easy to see numbers AND audio so I know when to switch paces.

Plus it includes a warm up and cool down. You set the intervals.

Highly recommend!


Easy to use, fun, versatile

This app has been super easy to use, and versatile for runs, interval training, and HIIT workouts. Makes it that much more of a surprise for picks ups to mix up a long run, or that much easier during intervals/HIIT so that I can more fully focus on exercises/form vs tracking timing. Easy to adjust to desired # of intervals, length, and add warm-up and cool-down. Easy to use hands-free too! Big fan of this app!

Easy app, tough runs!

I’ve been using PacePlay on most of my long runs. As someone who likes to run to a place, say 10km away, I then set PacePay to keep me accountable for finishing my return route. The user interface is simple - after a few clicks, the intervals are set for your running duration. It’s so easy, you forget how sore you’ll be the next day. ;)
