Color Tap Pixels is reviewed and certified by EducationalAppStore.com and got a 5 star rating. From their review:

"Many colouring apps are incomplete and nag the users to expand them with in-app purchases. Others are full of ads. Color Tap Pixels has neither, which makes it very child friendly.

Seeing the final, multi-coloured picture emerge from the plain grid is a relaxing process. Kids can choose which images they want to colour, ranging from simple single elements like a seagull to more complex ones like houses and gardens.

There are also some fun graphical flourishes as kids fill the squares and complete images. They add considerably to the joy of colouring the pictures. "

Great presentation and gameplay, needs greyscale option

The game plays and looks fantastic and no ads which is amazing! I will agree with other reviewers that the game needs to display incomplete art in greyscale in order to feel some sense of progression/accomplishment. To me, that’s the best part of games like this.

Also a suggestion: show a quick recap of the artwork being colored in when you complete it!

Overall great app

Developer Response ,

Thank you for your excellent review! You noted the other review that mentioned the greyscale of incomplete art and it's definitely something we are considering for a future update as it seems to be quite important for an "accomplishment"-factor. And also, great idea with the recap when you've completed an artwork! We will think about that one!

Great graphics but ok gameplay

I love color by numbers and I’m obsessed with the pictures offered by this app - they’re adorable and very fun to color. However, all of the pictures show up in the selection menu already colored. This really takes the fun out of it, because there’s literally no need to color them in order to fully see the image. They’re all right there. It also isn’t as satisfying as other color by number apps that change the images from black and white to color after you complete them. There’s no sense of accomplishment when looking at a screen of colored pictures you didn’t color, some with a tiny check mark on them if you took the time to complete them. The graphics are great and the actual coloring function is good, but every picture showing up in the queue pre-colored ruined the gameplay for me.

Developer Response ,

Thank you piango3 for your feedback! We will definitely consider having the artwork being presented in greyscale in the next update to get a better sense of gameplay and accomplishment. Very glad you like the artwork!

Great app, great privacy, no ads

This is a wonderful app for kids mostly young. It’s exactly what a parent wants from privacy perspective. No ads popping up with scary faces from games. No tracking and ultimately allowing the parent no risk.

I would pay for this app if I could change the difficulty in complexity. Example: allowing the child to choose their own pallets recommended by the artist. Building their own custom palette and removing automation, meaning allow the child to choose where colors go, this could be an age base preference, with recommendations from the artist.

Great job on this app. Appreciate the focus on privacy and ultimately watching out for the kids
