Using the FREE sections

I am not sure about the other reviewer. I have twin 9 year old players, both have been at club for just over a year and rec ball for 3 years before. Honestly we rarely train outside of normal practices. It showed in my sons performance. I HAVE SEEN a definite improvement in my sons technique and overall skill in just a few uses of 2-3 of the free features. The older is the less skilled player, but he improved drastically in the half-volley skill & improved somewhat with the pass and receive drill, however he has done that one only 2 times vs 4 of the other. My sons both enjoyed it, when I set it up properly!

So far I would definitely recommend this product.

On the con side it was a bit challenging for me to set up the pass/receive drill (which uses the camera. So, it wasn't intuitive. BUT to be fair, I've never used an app like this before and the technology is really fascinating. It actually knew when my son played the ball off the wall then on his feet. I think the marking cone helped, but still very remarkable.

I may increase to a 5 star, but need to use more of the app. We've only used 4 of the features. I'm considering the paid upgrade, but don't have the time with Covid home schooling taking up so much of my time. I don't even know the cost, if it is 7$ a week that may be too much for me, as I can't expect my sons to do it on their own, with regularity.

We’re thrilled to hear what a difference just a few uses of the free Training Games have made with your sons! If you do find the time, we’re confident you’ll continue to see improvements in their performance with access to more specialized activities with our Premium subscription (only 14.99 USD per month - cancel anytime). We're always looking to enhance our technical features too. Thanks so much for your review!

Fun though hard for limited spaces

I play this with my 4yo. It’s fun and keeps him engaged (for a while, he’s still 4). One limitation with the AR/camera feature is they’re inflexible with respect to space limitations. For instance for dribbling around cones in a small yard/garden you basically can’t fit the cones where it asks and there’s no adjustment to put them closer together. It’s not really debilitating but it’s a limitation if you’re using it at home.

Thanks for sharing your experience - it's great to hear you've been enjoying Perfect Play with your 4yo lad! Sounds like you’ve been trying out the Zig Zag Dribble, which needs a bit more space than others. If you’re just out for fun and not so worried about results, you can still move the cones closer together and carry on. I'd also give the 'Receiving the Ball' training plan a go - these are perfect for smaller spaces! 😊
