RECORDINGS ARE STORED SECURELY
Your privacy is important, which is why recordings only save to your iPhone and Apple ID. Sound Off cannot access your recordings. Before deleting the app, check iCloud backup is complete in the Sound Off settings. Then, download the Sound Off app to any device linked to the same Apple ID, and your recordings will restore.

Exactly what I’ve been looking for
For me (and for a lot of people), last year really exposed the cracks in my mental health. My therapist was quick to recommend journaling, an activity that I’d also seen a lot of my friends get in to during the pandemic. I did it for about two days and then gave up. I just found myself overthinking as I wrote, which really defeated the purpose of the exercise.
That’s when I found out about voice journaling. It made so much more sense to me to just speak my mind rather than try to write everything down. I spent the next few months cluttering up my Voice Memos app with all my ramblings. But then I heard about Sound Off.
Sound Off took what I was already doing and made it easier and better. Not only did it allow me to keep better track of my voice journaling, it also includes some great starting prompts about various topics that helped to guide my thoughts. I hope this app gets the recognition it deserves, and I can’t wait to it grow! Hoping some new starting prompts will be released soon.
“Photos” for your thoughts
Since everyone is taking photos to remember things, why would you not record your thoughts as well? Having a voice journal makes things so much easier than writing it down and it’s all there to look back on(more of listen back to).
There’s also a guide that comes with this app, which is great for people who don’t know exactly what they are doing. For those who do know what headspace is, it reminds me an awful lot of it.

More than just another journaling app
Sound Off elevates your journaling experience. It’s been more than just a chance to look inward but to reflect and learn within certain areas of my life. I love the podcast-like feel of the app and how you can pick and choose different categories you want to focus on. So I’m not just recording my voice, I’m being intentional about what I want to reflect and learn about on any given day.
