Alinea: Personalized Investing 4+

I first heard about this woman-founded, values-inspired, aesthetically-pleasing app through TikTok, and I immediately downloaded it. I had been debating dabbling with stocks, but I was struggling to find my way in. Alinea not only provided an accessible platform to buy and sell stocks but also easy-to-understand financial education to help me get started, maintain my portfolio, and weigh my options.

If that’s not enough to convince you to get Alinea, maybe their investing playlists will! I always seek to financially support companies that support my values, and Alinea helps me do that while saving me time. After taking a quiz to describe what you care about and what you’re interested in investing in, the app recommends you stocks in the form of a personalized playlist. With Alinea, I’ve easily identified stocks that support Black businesses, queer businesses, and environmentally friendly businesses.

As if this app couldn’t get any better, their staff are so friendly and personable, and it makes the investing experience feel thoughtful and a part of something bigger than myself. I am so grateful!! 10/10 recommend.

Alinea makes investing really straightforward and accessible especially for younger first time investors. With integrated financial analysis tools and company insights, as well as highly relevant news updates, Alinea provides all the resources needed for informed investing. Its also really rewarding to be able to see the sustainability impact score and invest in causes you believe in. Sharing and investing in playlists amongst friends and community members is also a super unique feature of the app and allows users to spread risk in their portfolio while also staying up to date with the larger Alinea community. Its exciting to see how Gen Z is shaking things up in the Fintech space!

I want to start off and say this is my favorite app for investing! I’ve used robin & other ones but I really like this one especially cause it is woman founded. I like the educational snippets and news clips included in the app. My favorite is the slider that shows past investments & what they would be worth today.

What I want to see is the actual growth on my stocks. When I buy more stocks it shoots up my graph which makes it look like my investments are wayyyyyy higher. I want the graph to just be the added value to the base money input. It’ll make it easier and more cool to track. Also I’m not a fan of the recent homepage update. I like the one from a couple weeks ago, it was easier to access stocks & to search for them before.
