Version 23.0.1
Version 23.0 is here! Do we look older?
To celebrate, we made design improvements across the app so you can share content on social media more easily. We’re all about that social life.
You’ll notice the new Blaze Campaign card in your dashboard, where you can see the most recent campaign, a campaigns list screen, and a campaign details screen. That’s hot.
We made some Gallery block updates in the block editor.
- We removed the visual gap that appears between selected gallery blocks and the toolbar.
- The gallery caption button is no longer visible on mobile devices.
- The correct gallery block will stay selected while you’re adding media.
You might be happy to hear that we squashed several bugs in the media picker.
- Your screen won’t flash anymore when you open the media picker.
- Media files have stopped rearranging themselves and will now behave.
- The image count no longer includes other media types.
- Thumbnail image sizes are now smaller. Faster loading, less memory—what’s not to love?
We also sped up loading time for the Total Likes stats card and fixed an issue that caused the stats screen to stall the app.
Finally, the app won’t crash when you update notifications, posts, or reader content, or when you’re cleaning up followed topics in the reader. (But wear a helmet anyway. Safety first.)

I use this and don’t see much difference overall from the Wordpress App but I don’t expect much either maybe, I write my blog. Thanks for that.
I have a suggestion, it would be great to be able to share a draft by link. Kind of like Google Docs. I mean I use that now before I bring it into Jetpack, if I am looking for input or ideas. Just a thought. Thanks for the app.
The app lags as i typed on my keyboard.
As I type posts it’s as if the touchscreen keys on the keyboard get sticky and either don’t work every time or repeat the same letters. It’s very annoying and it’s hard to type and write long posts. It’s all the buttons, the letters, sometimes the backspace won’t work for 2-3 tries, the spacebar places a period instead of space and I and up typing a capital letter, etc. Not sure why. Maybe it’s the iPad iOS, maybe I should try typing with the screen horizontally, maybe my 3-5 year old iPad is beat up too much but idk. I personally think it’s the app. I had some trouble typing this review but not with the same keys or little issues. Thx for reading and I hope you find the solution.

Why not just stay a part of Wordpress?
I’m not sure why Jetpack felt the need to make an app independent of Wordpress and force Wordpress users to swap to a secondary app for things that are available within Wordpress and are tied directly to Wordpress. Jetpack exists within the Wordpress ecosystem, there’s no reason for it to exist independently. I use Jetpack for Wordpress site stats, why would I want Jetpack to be independent of Wordpress? I hate having to have two apps to run my sites, especially since I can’t seem to get into the Jetpack app with my Wordpress credentials. This whole thing makes zero sense and it might be time to find a new plug in to handle my stats on Wordpress. I’m sure there are others that know who and what made them what they are and aren’t trying to make the user experience unbearable.
