Stackin is a financial wellness app that guides you to a better relationship with your money, so you can prioritize what brings you joy.

If you’ve struggled to make a budget stick or are always confused by where your money has gone, it’s important to recognize it isn’t you; it’s what you haven’t been taught.

Budgeting, on its own, is simple to understand. But being financially free goes beyond the numbers—it’s understanding that how you think about and use money is influenced by your broader belief systems. And it takes more than a massive savings account to feel in control.

Your relationship with money is like any other—it takes work and support. But if your underlying relationship with money is broken, it’s unlikely that you’ll be able to achieve financial wellness.

Stackin is for everyone at any stage of their financial journey. Take the money relationship quiz to uncover your personal money belief, then work through tailored coaching content and actionable steps to hit your goals.

Stackin provides the necessary financial therapy and coaching to help you become aware of and learn to manage the behaviors that drive your financial decisions, so you can set yourself free to find peace and confidence in your money journey.

Reduce your money anxiety by understanding and changing your relationship with money, so you can spend confidently.

Stackin combines your financial situation with behavioral insights to build personalized coaching programs and tools that improve your mindset and money habits:

What if you already have exactly what you need to be happy and reach your goals? We make it easy to get clear on how your money works for you, so you can make positive adjustments.

It’s time to overcome fear and lean into feeling self-assured about money. Learn how your money impacts your emotions, so you can prioritize making decisions that bring you happiness.

Don’t let your current relationship with money hold you back. We help you develop healthier spending habits, so you can make decisions you feel good about.

Think of Stackin as therapy for your wallet—here to guide you to a better relationship with your money. Here’s how we do it:

1) Understand your relationship: we start by digging into your current relationship with money. Take the financial assessment to learn your money beliefs—and where they stem from—so that we can help you prioritize what to work on.

2) Set your goals: we work with you to define and set intentions that motivate you, then translate them into actionable steps to help you hit your goals.

3) Develop your mindset: Dive into your tailored coaching content—developed in conjunction with leading financial therapists—to explore the "why" behind your money behaviors and grow your positive money mindset.

4) Strengthen your skillset: Explore the tools and framework we provide to help you take control of your money and make the decisions that support your end goals.

We have the science to back it up.

Our approach is grounded in leading financial therapy research and proven therapeutic practices. Inspired by the Ford Financial Empowerment Model (FFEM), our approach to improving your relationship with money combines the development of your mindset through cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)—alongside other therapeutic interventions—and money management skill development.

Interesting app idea, first impressions in Week 1

I like the idea of insights into spending so I downloaded this app. I have had it for a few days and hope to keep using it.

I had one main observation about the calculation of “spending”. The app adds my Citibank credit card transactions, but also adds the payments that I make to cover my credit card from my Citibank checking account. This is a little confusing because it then looks like the spending is a lot higher. Is there a way to remove some transactions from the expenditure list?

Money coaching helped me change my habits

Stackin’ has changed how I think about money. At first I was a little skeptical but after using the money journal feature for a few weeks and working with my money coach to set goals, I’ve noticed a significant shift in my mood and how I feel when I use money. It’s definitely changed my life for the better. I would highly encourage everyone who feels anxious about money to try it out.

Better than budgeting

I’ve tried and failed at a bunch of different budgeting apps, so wanted to try something new. This actually worked for me.

It’s all about changing how I feel about money, which I hadn’t thought about before. I really liked seeing how my money made me feel. If budgeting hasn’t worked for you, this is worth trying
