What I remember news being!

It was thanks to WYPR that I got turned on to the Banner. I was impressed with the reporting and the cooperation between radio and print! Then I got hooked by headlines that would come up on various news outlets (or whatever they're called -- MSN, Apple, Google News). I didn't want to pay when I can read the Sun for free through my job as a teacher. Then I thought, "when's the last time you enjoyed reading the Sun? They're not even local anymore; not really." So, I subscribed to the Banner. I read it as much as I read anything online at this point. I would like to seem more neighborhood news, but they do.a pretty darn good job, especially with politics.

Much better app experience

Really enjoy reading The Banner. Clever writing with an insightful approach. “Print” may be a thing of the past, its nice to see that News and reporting is not.

I’ve been a longtime Sun reader, but their on line experience is wonky at best -especially on my mobile devices. So many ads in weird places, it’s hard to even just scroll through. I subscribe to both (for now. I may cancel The Sun)

Good journalism. Period.

I’m now a former Baltimore Sun subscriber who had heard about the breaking news the Banner was making in collaboration with WYPR. Now, with the sad purchase of the Sun to an owner who apparently doesn’t read newspapers, among other things, I’m a Banner subscriber who looks forward to getting to know my community better. Long live local news reporting!
