BILT TOOLBOX
The BILT Toolbox is a collection of instructions to help you with home, auto, and safety projects, as well as guides for basic power tools. Follow easy BILT instructions to fix a toilet, lay bathroom tile, paint a room, jump a car battery, change a tire, use a circular saw, adjust a bicycle, repair drywall, and so much more to help with anything adulthood sends your way.
We use the BILT Toolbox too, so if we have a question about something, we design an instruction for it. We welcome your suggestions, too. From personal experience we recommend downloading “How to Jump a Car Battery” before you need it because internet connections at soccer fields can be spotty. :)
DATA PRIVACY
We do not collect personal data other than what you choose to provide if you create an account, register a product, or leave a review.
We do collect aggregate data such as the number of downloads for each product and the average time it takes to complete an instruction step, but it cannot be tied to an individual user.

Awesome instructions on BILT app!
The 3D graphical representation of assembly in BILT app is top notch and very helpful. The written instructions move quickly and I found myself backing up and pausing quite a bit, just to catch everything. In some areas, the written instructions move to slowly and I wish I could have had a way to speed it up. Maybe manually advancing the written instructions would work better. I’m very impressed by the app instructions, but found myself referring to included paper instructions from Teeter for clarity. Some areas of the app needed updated a bit to include newer part designs and include accessories that can be ordered as part of the package for the Teeter inversion tables. All in all…very impressed and very happy. The assembly was quick and painless.
This App Made Me Lose A Bet!!
Unfortunately for me, we had 2 door knobs to replace & I bet my husband I could install mine faster & more efficiently using the Bilt app ONLY, while he installed his with no instructions at all. I’m one of those weirdos who loves instructions & manuals & I was initially super excited to use this app, (honestly it’s right up my alley!) Well, I lost the bet because the app shows the door latch being installed backwards. So I installed everything in record time, locked the door from the inside to test it & was able to pull it open without unlocking it...what a freakin FAIL!
*I checked the Defiant instructions (which were correct) & sure enough, the app was wrong. So I had to totally undo everything I just did & by that time my husband had finished & of course had to step in & show me the “right way to do it.” Uggh...pretty disappointed to say the least!!
2 stars because the app does have a lot of awesome features...but none of that really matters if the content is wrong!

The Instructions Were Completely Wrong
I liked the idea of being able to use the interactive building guide that this app offers. I purchased the Backyard Discovery’s Cordova 14x10 Gazebo and I tried to use this app to help me build it. It was fine at first but there were little things that seemed wrong when I was sorting parts. I was struggling to get started with the project because the app said I needed parts that weren’t included. I thought the manufacturer sent me the wrong hardware because the app said I was supposed to have 96 of a certain type of bolt and I only had 7. After speaking with Backyard Discovery’s customer service (they are fantastic by the way) they said the paper manual provided is more accurate since Bilt is a 3rd party that isn’t always up to date. When I compared the paper manual to the app, they were correct, the manual I was provided was correct where this app was wrong. This app caused me days of delays on this project and a ton of frustration. Beware of how much faith you put into it.

Unfortunately, it seems like you have one of the models that doesn't match the latest instruction updates shown on the BILT app. Going forward, we are working with Backyard Discovery to ensure customers have access to the "old" and the "new" instructions for any given product.
