This isn’t necessarily support. I’ve had good experience with support. I just have a suggestion to a problem I have. The problem is with my messages. I used to be able to block numbers and still can when it’s spam related etc. however I have been getting group messages with all kinds of numbers idk who they are. I can’t block them all. Or I could but it’s like 20 something people. I know it’s something I’ve prob done online and didn’t read the fine print but it is still annoying. Can we not report these as spam or something so we stop getting the messages all together? The only options I had were to delete or silence them. This is happened every day and a couple times a day. There’s always a link. Which I never click on. Just a suggestion because instead of them getting less as I was blocking them individually now I’m getting group messages and that means 20 plus other people are receiving my number as well.
The most unhelpful chat service I have ever used
DO NOT use their chat function. Every time I get connected to someone they either have extremely broken English I just cant understand or they just send me to ten different people who ‘know more about the issue I’m experiencing.’ TODAY specifically I was overcharged because their third party unidays failed to verify my completely valid student ID that was sent ten times a few weeks ago for my Apple Music Subscription. I told the chat there was an issue with my charge and I sent all of the proof. They said yes this all checks out but let me get you to someone else. Also you aren’t replying very fast and I will disconnect. I replied within a minute I checked it within the chat.... This was already strange. Twenty minutes later someone else with broken English types to me that they see the issue and cannot fix the charge whatsoever thanks for contacting. Really Apple? Then the person tried to delete my Apple Music account when I had never asked them to in the first place. I told them four times not to....then they continued on said they were going to. Doesn’t make any sense right? I asked to please be connected to somebody else, they refused. They also refused to refund me or fix their own mistake and their third party UniDays mistake when I sent them all the proof. Thanks for nothing I’m seriously considering switching to Samsung after this mess.
Apple is the new BMW
I’ve been using my iPhone X for 3 years and FaceID suddenly stopped working. I thought it was a surface scratch. After bringing it into Apple Store University Village (Case ID ) for diagnose, it was found to be a hardware failure. I was told I can’t change the broken FaceID sensor, but instead have to change my entire phone. I asked to speak to the manager and they suggested trade-in or buying new iPhone. I purchased my phone at $999+tax and Apple wants me to do a trade-in for $280, because of their fault with the hardware defect. The associate says this happens and that there’s nothing he can do unless I have Apple Care.
This unveiled a few things: Apple wants to juice me for my money by getting me to buy the new iPhone or buy Apple care, and they use this money for profit instead of making good hardware. They intentionally design for Obsolescence. How can I be expected to shell out $999 every few years just because Apple wants me to milk me? This is like BMW, they design for 4 years and after that the car has problems every few months. Same with Apple, they design for the phone to fail every 2-3 years use so that you upgrade to the next phone.
