Fun. Funner with more tweaking.

Although relatively repetitive, as are a lot of games in this genre, it is challenging and entertaining enough to get three stars in each stage to keep playing.

That said, perhaps it can improve in some fronts:

The difficulty of getting three stars on a level gets tougher as you progress, but the way to overcome them is mostly dependent on which tiles appear on the grid (i.e. random) as opposed to being dependent on player strategy. Especially for smaller grids, strategy is mostly useless and luck becomes the major factor. Maybe the mechanics can be adjusted or changed to allow for less randomness and more player strategy. Perhaps just making the smaller grids larger or having more rounds or taking some of the suggestions below.

Make the loading of the battle screen shorter to make resetting a level faster (or skip it altogether when resetting a level)

When there are no matches left, check it first before placing it on the grid so there are no consecutive “no matches” grid loadouts.

Perhaps an option not to attack in a round to save attack power since attacking isn't worth anything if it is too weak to break the enemy shield

More variety in acquiring bonus rounds (and maybe add different kinds of bonuses: such as more powered up tiles in the grid or extra attack, health or defence)

When there are no matches left, check the grid to see how many powered up tiles are present. This should also be the number of powered up tiles in the new loaded up grid. It is frustrating to amass powered up tiles to have them disappear when no matches are available.

Maybe a couple of variations on the appearance of the viruses/bacteria (even among the same kind).

Some sense of player progression would be nice, like an option to buy upgrades (like extra starting attack or defense power per round or the round starts with powered up tiles on the grid or more attack power gained with the same number of antiretrovirals taken and so on)
