Debit card

I was not able to go back to Spain because of the COVID-19 and my debit card was expired. I called the Customers services many times and they were not able to ship it to me to Tunisia because the manager of my account asked that I should go personally and pick it up. I am 5 months now without a debit card and I don’t know how to make everyone in BBVA understand that I can’t enter to Spain now since there’s restrictions on international travelers. I really need help to get my debit card shipped to me. Thanks !

This App is horrible as BBVA Is

If you are not living in Spain and have no “validated” phone which means a phone totally controlled by BBVA ( forget your privacy ). They will ask to install a BBVA keyboard which will give them total control of the phone, all your passwords, everything you type it will belong to them. So , if don’t have validated phone and number in Spain by office located in Spain you will not longer have access to your account. They gave me access for short time without validated phone ,but when I started to claim the return of money charged illegally by (Clasula Suelo)
They restricted again the access.
This bank is a mirror of the authoritarian regime in Spain.
The customer service is horrible.
I have been calling, explaining, Nada! Olvídalo. Stay away from BBVA and App too. Don’t even update the app because you will loose features.

Terrible app, terrible bank

This is the worst banking app I’ve ever used, and the worst bank I’ve ever banked with. I’ve lived in 8 countries in the Americas, Europe and Africa, so I have a lot of banking experiences to compare with BBVA. They spam customers with emails about products (lines of credit, mortgages, etc.) but when ALL their ATMs and digital services are down, which has happened twice this year, they are silent. The app is not user friendly and the interface is clunky and old-fashioned.

Finally, and this is the worst part, the bank staff are super rude with massive bad attitudes. And they only serve customers in person from 8-11am! Only 3 hours! Their client service is just atrocious.

I once was traveling outside of the EU and they blocked my card to “prevent fraud” in the middle of my trip—even tho I had warned them I was traveling (and had already been traveling for some weeks!) I called and verified my information, but because I couldn’t receive an SMS on my Spanish number since I was out of the EU, my card remained blocked for the remainder of my vacation, which was a huge inconvenience.

BBVA erroneously believes that measures like this prevent fraud, when in reality they just make for a terrible user experience.
