Edit: Thank you for the advice! Now I am alerted to messages after telling my brother to turn on notifications. The fact that this works so well without Wi-Fi at all is miraculous, and I will keep 5 Stars for support. But I have some suggestions, if you can add these, it would be excellent.
For starters, picture messages and GIFs would be good to have. This may be a bit too much to ask, but if you can add Tapbacks and animated texts like iMessage along with videos, that would be excellent. But that is a lot to ask, if you could add picture messages, that would be good enough for me.

Original Post:This app permits me to send unlimited messages and make unlimited calls free of charge with Bluetooth enabled. Furthermore, it does not demand for my information or pelt me with ”Go Pro!” bubbles. And for a person who doesn’t pay for cellular data, this is useful to text without Wi-Fi. I recommend.
Only one suggestion, enable an option in settings to turn on notifications so that I may be cognizant if a friend texts me.

Hi Andrew! Thank you for your review! To be notified prominently when your friend texts you follow these instructions: In the app go to Settings by tapping the button in the top right corner in Nearby, then scroll down to Notifications and tap Deliver Prominently.

Great App Good Feedback from Developer

What an awesome idea and beautifully designed app. My previous review left me a little confused with ongoing notifications but the developer responded quickly. I’ll definitely be using this app a lot with family members. Hopefully the software can be updated to enhance notifications so that once a private conversation has started you can receive ongoing notifications while blocking private messages after the first message.

Edit: Fast response from developer. The issue was corrected by enabling the correct settings per feedback. I don’t really need the premium features, but love the quick feedback and apso I chip in for it.

Hi! Thank you for your kind words! If you set App Settings > Notifications > Private Messages > On for Messaged Users then you will be notified only of private messages from your trusted contacts (users whom you already have a conversation with), and will not be bothered by strangers.

What an amazing app!

I have an admission: I hate talking on the airplane. It’s loud, everyone can hear my wife and I talking, and I get motion sick from constantly turning my head. Maybe these are first world problems, but Berkanan solves it with this awesome app. Now my wife and I can chat about trip details without a bunch of strangers listening, and we don’t have to pay for wifi to do so. It makes calls too. It works flawlessly. There’s a learning curve since the new messages appear at the top rather than the bottom, but otherwise I love this app!
