【別子銅山最後の採鉱本部】
愛媛県・新居浜市にある別子銅山は日本三大銅山の一つとされ、1690年（元禄 3年）に標高1,200mで発見された露頭を手掛かりに鉱脈に沿って掘り進められました。採鉱の中心は時代とともに麓に下り、1930年（昭和5年）から1973年（昭和48年）の閉山まで、端出場地区に最後の採鉱本部が置かれました。
【端出場地区がARアプリで蘇る】
現在、道の駅「マイントピア別子」がある端出場地区には、別子銅山の近代化に大きく貢献した旧端出場水力発電所や、端出場鉄橋・端出場隧道などの登録有形文化財をはじめ、多くの産業遺産が存在します。
このARアプリでは、別子銅山の大動脈である別子鉱山鉄道下部線を走る蒸気機関車や旧端出場水力発電所において電気を生み出すために高速で回転したペルトン水車の模様などをダイナミックに再現します。

＜ARスポット＞
・東洋一の落差と言われた旧端出場水力発電所の水圧鉄管と発電所からの排水の模様
・旧端出場水力発電所において、電気を生み出すために落差を利用した水流により回転する水車の模様
・登録有形文化財である端出場鉄橋・端出場隧道を走る蒸気機関車の模様
・観光坑道における江戸時代の採鉱の模様
○動画で分かりやすく紹介
各スポットでは1～2分程度の動画を視聴できます。当時の古写真やCGなどを使用し、端出場の魅力を分かりやすく紹介しています。
○PICK UPコンテンツで詳細な情報を提供
もともと何もない河川敷であった端出場地区が、採鉱と物流の拠点となったプロセスを紹介した「端出場地区の造成」の様子や、物流の重要な役割を担った「索道について」などのコンテンツも充実。
○GPSと連動し、アプリをご覧なっているユーザーが端出場地区のどの場所にいるのか確認できます。
○英語（ENGLISH）にも対応しています。
◆使用方法◆
①アプリをインストール
②端出場地区に設置してある看板（9ヶ所）の前で、説明に従い、アプリ画面上の「ARカメラ」をクリック
③看板のコードを読み取り、ARや動画を起動
