It will not updated in the future and will be phased out over time. BIMx Pro is a fantastic product; as an architect, it helps me to have complete sets of plans on the construction site on a iPad. I can easily update everything without the hassle of printing, thus saving time and resources. It also helps a lot with project presentations to clients and collaborators (via AirPlay and Apple TV), Not everybody can read/understand 2D plans and sections, so, a walk through a 3D project is the best way to go. This application excels on that matter.I does not get five stars because I would love to have a way to have measurements inside the sets, and for the rather quirky license system (I read they are improving that). Highly recommended.

BIMx Pro is allowing me to present projects that I’ve designed to my clients in a way that is very powerful and impressive.Each client can see their project in a way that is easy for them to understand, and they see me as an architect who employs cutting edge technology for their benefit. For an upcoming discussion, I’ve put together a slide show using BIMx Pro to show them 3D views, plans, and sections - the preparation of which was much easier than I’d imagined.

Designing a home with Visbeen Architects of Grand Rapids Michigan. Wayne’s creativity is brought to 3 dimensions by Matt, his BIMx team member, allowing for different viewing angles and distances, both inside and outside. My wife and I understand our design and related choices much more deeply. This will allow us to communicate more precisely with our builder and the subs. Also, fun to dream. BIMx is a powerful tool to deliver a better home.

Intersting but very unstable!

The tool has potential to be very useful. However, I uploaded a very simple model and with only a few views. The app keeps crashing while navigating through the model, even on an iPad Pro with 256mb of RAM and running on Gigabit WiFi!I hope Graphisoft makes this more stable very soon. I could not use this in front of a client, as it works now.

We changed the app icon to indicate that this version is known from now on as BIMx (legacy) version and will be phased out over time.
