Reconhecido em 18 de Janeiro de 1968 pelo Alvará nº 678, os trabalhadores municipais deste concelho criam um organismo que passa a zelar por importantes regalias sociais, o Centro de Alegria no Trabalho do Pessoal da Câmara Municipal de Matosinhos, com o intuito de ser prestada assistência aos funcionários Municipais de Matosinhos. A aplicação em questão tem como objetivo fornecer informações sobre as atividades e eventos organizados pelo CCD, reservas de cantina, notícias, submissão de despesas por parte dos sócios e consulta dos cartões de Seguro de Saúde.
