CDO Security App is an application devised by the Security Company Cittadini dell’Ordine S.p.A. It can be used on the iPhone and also on the Apple Watch.
It is designed for the safety of people belonging to categories potentially at risk (eg: shopkeepers, business managers, people in charge of managing valuables, or the elderly).
In case of danger, you can press a specific icon that can be activated from the iPhone and from the Apple Watch itself, and send a request for help to the Operations Center of Cittadini dell’Ordine. The Operation Center is manned by security guards and it is operative 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The Operation Center receives your signal of danger and consequently proceeds with the geolocation and the management of the alarm.
CDO Security App is very easy to use and its functions make it indispensable in order to feel and live safe, every day.
Technical notes
If an iPhone is associated with an Apple Watch, when the CDO Security App is installed on the former, it is automatically installed also on the latter (Apple Watch).
Apple Watches can be of two types:
- not cellular
- cellular
The not cellular type can be connected to the internet in two ways:
- the Wi-Fi function present on the device itself
- the iPhone, if this device is close to the Apple Watch
At least one of the two conditions listed above must occur, otherwise the CDO Security App on Apple Watch is unable to communicate with the Operations Center.
On the other hand, the cellular Apple Watch can be connected to the Internet even in the absence of Wi-Fi or even if it is far from the iPhone, by using the Vodafone network.
In order to use this method in Italy, the following conditions are necessary:
- to have a Vodafone SIM on the iPhone
- to have activated the Vodafone OneNumber option on this SIM
No other Italian telephone operator provides this service.
