Description

This is a free Chess game with a nice interface where you can play against the computer or with your friends.

Playing with your friends over the Internet is very easy - one player hosts a game and receives a unique code, the other one joins it by typing this code.
No registration or login is required.

The game works on various popular devices - TVs, tablets and mobile phones - multiplayer games are possible between different devices.

Other features:
- More than 50 000 unique puzzles where the goal is to find a checkmate in 1, 2, 3 or 4 moves
- Chat in the multiplayer games
- Game timers
- Chess960 aka Fischer random chess
- Handicap chess
- An option to display and copy the move notation (PGN)
- Spectators: multiple people can join a network game to watch

What’s New

Version 2.79

Added an option to send a game invitation to people from your friends list. This way you don't need to share the game code.
Currently for this to work, your friend needs to have the app open and be logged in - they will see a notification.

There's now a "Friends" page where you can manage your friends list.

Fixed a bug where the on-screen keyboard did not show up on certain devices.

Added a number of other smaller bug fixes and interface improvements.

This app has many glitches with AI pawns capturing mine, even when I move them two squares where they are past the attacked square.

Hi, thanks for the feedback. That's actually called "en-passant" and it's a valid move, but it's one that not too many people know about.

We frequently test the game against popular engines to make sure it doesn't make illegal moves.
