Set the desktop dynamic clock, you can add multiple to the desktop, and a variety of clock styles are available.
After selecting a clock in the list on the left, click "Add to Desktop", drag the position, change the size, background color, etc.

Decent idea...
Not awful, and some of the clocks are well done, but the major flaw I see with this is that there is a menu bar over each clock. If it were a true desktop clock, you should not see thay. Just looks like an open window with a clock in it.
