Part of the Creativity Corp Scam

Creativity Corp. has a whole slew of rapidly thrown together apps that they mark down to free and then almost immediately mark back up to their normally inflated prices.

The purpose of this constant price cycling is to get mentioned and linked to on apps and sites that track price drops of apps. Unwary readers see the app listed as having been dropped to FREE and click on the link that takes them to the App Store. Once there, many don't notice that they are buying the app rather than getting it for free.

Once installed, this app cycles through patterns continuously, always in the same order, not keeping track of whether the user gets the answer right or wrong or an overall score. Because the test patterns were just scanned from printed sources, they are not color-correct when displayed on the iPad's screen, making the "test" unreliable and untrustworthy. During the entire time, huge banner ads are presented in yet another attempt to rake in undeserved money.

Bland but somewhat effective

It does have a lot of different samples but there's a very clear pattern to it after the first 3 or 4. It only focuses on red-green color blindness and towards the end it focuses less on colors but different eye conditions.

The app itself was put together pretty quickly it seems. Everything is just set in the top left corner and it gives you a multiple choice of what the answer is...something it shouldn't do when you first look at the image. In an ideal test you would type the number you see or at least be presented with the choices after about 5 seconds or so as to not suggest an answer to you, which happened to mea few times. I saw the answer choices out of the corner of my eye when the picture loaded and my brain started looking for those numbers rather than decipher what was there on its own.

When you reach the end, it just starts over from the beginning without warning. If you know you have some color blindness then this app is alright, if for anything just to give you a bunch of pictures to prove your point. Outside of that, it just feels like it was put together in 5 minutes with an ad on the screen to generate advertising revenue.

I downloaded this application which said it was free and at some point charged my account and I was unaware of it. Unbelievable. I'm really annoyed about this applciation charging me.
